Why is there polyamide in it?

Just like with many wool socks and gloves, a percentage of nylon/polyamide is added to make the wool stronger and more durable. Gloves endure a lot of friction and movement, which would cause pure wool to wear out faster.

So the polyamide helps keep the gloves looking nice and strong for longer, while the wool provides warmth and comfort.
